Today we went to Beth Chatto’s famous garden. We knew it was September so we expected it to be a bit ‘fin du saison’. Nonetheless... an impressive place with lots of lovely plants and shrubs. We enjoyed our afternoon.
Mrs H is in charge of our own garden, and she does it well, filing the space so that weeds don’t get a look in and things tumble out of the constraints of their beds. What seems to have pleased her most today was being able to tell me “Got that!... got that!... got that!” at every turn. I got it!

Hahaha. I hope you got it. Good for Mrs H. She must be an awesome gardener!
Well, I learned something today. I never heard of Beth Chatto’s gardens so I googled them. I thought you made up the name. Wow, they are beautiful.
To my great shame, I am sure Mrs H. would tut-tut at my paved garden where weeds manage to grow between the slabs.

Got a fortnight off and will do something to my garden, but I doubt it would satisfy Beth Chatto or your other half, Neville. :-))

Oh go on, Jamie, a bit of creativity and a few strategically-placed weeds and a bit of magic and anyone can be a garden designer! 🧚♀️

When you live in the country like I do you see flowers and things everywhere. So I'm content to just cut my grass and let nature around me grow all that other stuff! Kudos to Mrs. H, though, for running a tight ship...uh, I mean garden.
