Lunch by the river
At the McBrevity’s
The weather it was changeable
A perfect summer tease.
Aperitifs al fresco
The river gently flowing
How long before the downfall
Little way of knowing.
Looking cross the Thames
To the house just yards away
The famous morning DJ
Fills the rest of his day.
What’s this, he’s coming over
Lunch for just one more?
No, he’s walking past the gate
To his mate who lives next door.
And later on he takes his kids
Upstream on a little cruise
His fame’s not going to our heads
We leave that to the booze.

I've been meaning to ask you if Steve was ever going to come back to Drablr or not. If I remember right he had an autobiographical series going.

I’ve kicked Steve’s arse a bit about it, but his health is a bit up and down at the moment. Notwithstanding, he’s still actively cranking up lots of travel experiences and so should be able to tell a tale or two. He doesn’t seem to let his problems get in the way too much. We had a great lunch there and celebrity neighbourgate was a laugh. You would never have heard of this guy but he’s a big, big star here and a really nice bloke... and he recently moved in opposite Steve across the River Thames, which is quite narrow at that point.

Not sure if you can see the Tweedles yet, but they’ve appeared on my devices. I think I might ring the changes with the visuals for a bit of variety before my logo reappears. -

It’s apparently all about stuff staying in the memory cache, or summat like that. Only when the cache refreshes does it cache up!

Not so ginger now though! Steve’s met him once or twice and I did too while over there. Seemed a decent and quite unassuming bloke. His show’s still pretty manic though. When he took over the Wogan slot, I was really impressed how he got the wonderful Moira Stewart back on air. One in the eye for the establishment!
