It was their pride and joy. The Ganz Machine. This Heath Robinson device churned out Band-Aid®️ sticking plasters by the million, continuously, at their Portsmouth factory.
We were the ad boys on the Band-Aid®️account for Johnson & Johnson, travelling south for a factory visit. The idea was that we would become acclimatised to the production process and might be inspired to come up with a great advertising idea. That made sense... but we just saw it as a jolly!
We oooed and ahhhed as we looked at the amazing machine.... but then we went and got plastered ourselves!

Sorry Jamie.... and it was pretty damn true. I fell amongst thieves... the other London ad-boys from our rival agency!

Blimey. Sounds like it ended up a good time anyway :-)))

Thanks Jamie. Rivals we might have been, but drinking mates we were too. As thick as thieves... It’s a strange business, the ad business (strange in a very good way!)

Why doesn't that surprise me? Sorry for being two days late. I told you when I start posting a series I tend to forget to see what everyone else is doing.

No need for an apology Christopher!
