When travelling abroad
From France to Timbuktu
We always find that we prefer
To eat as locals do.
The cultural experience
Is what we like to share
The lingo might be tricky
But the grub is everywhere.
In China we tried frog spawn
A delicacy I’m told
In Hungary it was goulash
In Bulgaria hot food served cold.
In Vienna we had schnitzels
In Russia borscht was grand
In Kazakhstan ‘five fingers’
Eaten with your hand.
So when the trips are over
And home sweet home are we
We eat just like the peasants do
Chips, Big Macs and KFC.

Nice. You can have that experience in the southern part of the U.S. When I used to visit my grandparents in Louisiana there were Cajuns that you couldn't understand that ate food I'd never seen before. Other places are like that down here too.
