There were one or two arrests that day and two young eight-year old twins, who appeared to have got separated from each other and their guardian, didn’t stop sobbing as they told a policewoman over and over how Tony had kept fiddling with them and how they’d seen him hitting their mum.
Tony was hospitalised with a policeman outside his hospital room. He protested his innocence, but a later visit to talk to Angela sealed his fate.
Tony wouldn’t be writing much dark, sadistic fiction from prison. In fact, he no longer seemed to have the balls for it.

Thanks very much Drew. That's hugely appreciated. I know it's a very unpleasant topic, but revenge had to be meted out. As I think I've said somewhere else, it was task from one of the writers' groups and was the result of a series of randomly generated characters and character traits e.g. sadistic writer, imaginative twins, plus other randomly generated stuff, e.g. sunny weather, a stadium and a toasting fork. This was all I could think of for that lot of constraints. Not everyone would be comfortable with it, but Mrs H, my toughest critic, actually thought it was "good".
