Best Man
As important as the wedding... The Hen Party. Arrangements made long before the wedding itself. The chief bridesmaid’s in charge.
Attendees: my daughter, who’s the Bride, the other two small bridesmaids, the chief bridesmaid’s sister, current and future sister-in-laws, and the mums. The two three year old page boys are not invited... mischief is strictly reserved for the ladies!
That leaves Ernie, a real meat-eating 7 year old tough guy, proud to be a page boy... not so sure about the poncey outfit.
He’s been invited too. The only man... they told him he’s the best one.

The most embarrassing photo for him was at his late great granny’s 90th birthday at our house. The theme was 1920s and we all dressed appropriately. He was three and a half and was to dress in 1920s tennis gear like his dad. However, his older sister and girl cousin changed into pretty party dresses. Not to be left out, he refused to wear the tennis gear and painted on moustache... but insisted on wearing the pretty blue dress his sister had discarded for an even prettier one....

...With his long fair hair, beautiful curls and a pretty face, many of the guests were fooled and the best photo of the day was the three ‘girls’. Well... he was only 3 and thought the older girls were great. However, we’ve had to remove it from view now when the rough, tough guy visits... or else!
