My elder son’s a father, of two, one of each. He’s a good father, a modern father, a hands-on father, a very hardworking father, a brilliant father. He doesn’t need any more children though.
Need them or not, he’s got them. Quite a few. My daughter describes her elder brother as “More like my dad than my dad!” One of his cousins lives with them in London. He takes on his dad role again, looking out for her, advising her, housing her.
My own dad’s long gone, but I’ve a new dad too. Never gives me pocket money though!
