Take some time to contemplate
Differences ‘tween love and hate
Similarities, some say
They’re really close, a step away
Both built upon some feelings strong
So changeable once things go wrong
They say that to have loved is better
Than to have not, and yet a
Love that’s lost can turn to hate
Impossible to contemplate
While flames of love within you burn
Nothing then can make you turn
But feelings strong and feelings slain
Prompting one to think again
Stepping back to see anew
Your feelings, from another view
But loving, loving, so sublime
Makes the hating quite divine!
