The audience in the classy club cinema weren’t French, but frankly they were in for a great Gallic night out. The film, subtitled for those with a C-grade or below, would test even A-graders’ composure. Wine glasses charged, in seats you could live in, the main and only attraction began.

The casting was parfait, with each and every character adding to the farcesterpiece that was ‘C’est la vie’. Time and again the laughs were set up en avance, maximising the subsequent laughter quotient at point of delivery.

Laugh-out-loud funny sans embarrassment. Everyone else was laughing louder.

Thanks Christopher. The problem with writing a long continuing story is that unless you intersperse it with other stuff (singletons) then you risk losing the non-readers of your story. Not sure I’ve got the balance right yet though.

Marvelous...one of my all time favourites is an old french 1950's movie series. They do comedy and sadness so well.

Thanks Peter. If you have a chance you might love to see C’est la Vie. It’s a 2017 film and has won some awards I think. Hilarious!
