Friendship
It was the occasion of the official opening of the third ‘Horatio’s Garden’ at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The guest of honour, writer, TV star and much beloved home cook Mary Berry, was opening this garden for patients with spinal injuries. The garden was designed by TV gardening personality Joe Swift.
My daughter-in-law had been working for many months alongside former boss Joe to complete the garden. She was there for the celebrations with my son and our grandchildren.
8 year old Florriebundle was introduced to Mary, 83, and they had a long chat.
They are now best friends.

I expect she’s too busy baking cakes - met her actually at Judy’s son’s wedding in the summer as she’s a friend of the new in-laws living at Penn.
