I keep in touch with former students... but just the good ones, via LinkedIn. The good ones and their networks might provide candidates for my son’s growing technology business. So I connect selectively.
Most ‘connectees’ are busy, only making contact when they need a reference. I’m OK with that, but...
A message arrived yesterday from Vidushi, a 2008 alumna working in Boston Massachusetts. I immediately remembered she’d once danced for the President of India. All she wanted to say was how much she’d enjoyed my copywriting and PR classes. Wanted to meet up if I was ever over there. Delightful!

I sent her the link to her drabble, and she has just written the most flattering and fulsome complimentary comments in return. Why, I’m almost embarrassed.. well, almost!
