I walked my little 2yr old grandson to Pre-School today. He’s the youngest and smallest in the class, but he loves it. Sometimes I drive him and his mum, who has mobility problems, but today she stayed home... so we walked.
Crossing the high street, we started to walk past our previous house, a 400yr old former pub. Now that house has a cartwheel fixed firmly to the wall. For over 30 years we suffered a rumbling sound as local kids spun the wheel.
Guess what? He insisted on stopping to twirl the wheel.
What goes round, comes round!

That's a lovely story, Neville. It's hard to believe he's already school age. It seems like only yesterday you started the Small Talk series.

Thanks Christopher. Time does fly. He’s loving school, but I’m told he’s picking up some defiant behaviour (from some of the other less well behaved kids). My womenfolk are nipping that in the bud ‘toot sweet’ (!)

I can imagine!

Think if you’d had that wheel attached to a generator - free energy at the gift of the village.

Yes Steve, it was certainly more reliable than the power of the sun!
