My career as a dentist
Jimmy was an old friend of Mrs H's family. We stayed with them once and he was bothered that his 'post crown' - a tooth crown with a peg into his old tooth - had come out. He was tough and yet was terrified of the dentist. I came up with a plan.
Araldite Rapid was famous for sticking a car to a billboard, so a tooth would be a doddle. I got the glue and, as proxy dentist, glued his tooth back in place. It stuck fast.
Absolutely delighted, I was his hero, until the day he died..... of Araldite poisoning.

All true except his demise, which, in his 90s, many years later, was from natural causes!

I mentioned it to my dentist the other day, thinking she would be impressed, but she merely said "I'm not going to hear that!", before she started attacking my molar!

I am petrified of dentists (as I am of spiders). Now, I wonder if superglue would do the same job... hahahha...
