When it's fast and dangerous, the craziest, unimportant thoughts cross your mind.

You should've seen my icecream van. It shouldn't have been allowed. A tiny Morris Minor cab welded to a vast box behind. Unstable, unroadworthy.

An enormous fridge filled the rear. Not bolted down. A shelf carried my own fragile Cadburys Flakes, to make extra cash from '99s'!

The speeding car hogging the centre of the narrow country road forced my swerve. The van spun, finally crashing into the high bank. The fridge shot forward. As it almost killed me, I remember thinking 'My bloody Flakes will be ruined!'

A memory prompted today by a comment of Drew's. Thanks, Drew! :-)

Fun drabble. Danger counter-pointed with humour. I think many would be more worried about their flakes, than themselves. They're so darn crumbly!! ;)

Thanks Jeff. Keeping them safe was my preoccupation. I'd had to buy them myself! :-)
