My mum and dad were tap dancers. They were semi-professional, but 'semi' it stayed, with us four lads to bring up. But dancing remained their passion and the master of tap, Fred Astaire, was their hero... and became ours too.
I was reminded of him today watching a TV tribute, no, not to him, but to another of his fans, also skilled in tapsmanship. It got my own toes a-tapping as the memories came flooding back. (Glad no-one was sleeping downstairs in our upside-down house.)
But my main memories weren't for Fred, but Brucie instead.
Sad..☹.

Goodbye to Brucie, an incredible performer, incredibly versatile, an incredible talent and an incredible chin. His countless catchphrases are legendary, so to borrow and freely adapt one, it was nice to see him, to see him go, not so nice :-(
