A self-made man, Tony always had the very best. He dined in the best restaurants where he was served personally by the finest chefs in the world. His mentor was an acerbic food critic.

Mentor became tormentor too when he raved about the best dish in the world being 'Poy', the exclusive creation of Hu Wen, now retired, back in Mongolia.

Tony begged Wen to return to the UK, but was forced to make an uncomfortable trip to Mongolia.

"I must have Poy!" said Tony.

In a thick Brummie accent, Wen said "Apple poy, steak poy or umble poy?"
