6.30pm, you could set your clocks by him. The squeak of the gate, key In the door and "Hi Jackie!" The factory shift finished at 5.00pm, but foreman Nick usually stayed late to plan the next day's schedule. A tidy man, he worked to strict routine.

Marty, a polar opposite, left the factory at 5.00pm sharp. But he wasn't heading home, not to his own that is.

"Hi Jackie!"

Panic! With no alternative exit, half-dressed Marty shot down the stairs past Nick, who was resetting the clock and holding an oil can.

"Better get home, Marty, your dinner's burning!"
