It was a rare phenomenon whereby a sharp head blow affected the brain’s optical wiring such that a person saw everything in reverse. Its Latin name, Transuerso visionis, literally translated as ‘reversal of vision’.

Driving along country lanes in his drophead, a falling branch struck Martin’s head. Transuerso kicked in instantly. He barely had time to take control of the wheel before a car bore down on him on the ‘wrong side of the road’. Instinctively, he swerved, but into the path of an oncoming truck. Transuerso instantly reversed as his head hit the windscreen. Brain death was irreversible though.

Wow! What an interesting story. I've never heard of that before. I'll have to do some research on it. Another great drabble, Neville.

Thanks, Christopher. The reason. You've not heard of it is probably because it exists only in my mind. It came to me as I drove down a narrow country road yesterday and a car came in the opposite direction, seemingly with no driver (it was an LHD car - unusual in the countryside where I live). It briefly shocked me and made me wonder...

Oh! Stupid me! Well, you damn well sold it because I BELIEVED it! That makes it an even greater drabble.
