Aide-memoire

Tony, 15, had problems remembering things. He could read a book or class notes and while he was reading he might understand, but asked to recall in class, he was hopeless.

Tony was an adolescent with all the baggage that entails. As he went through notes at home, his hand automatically snaked down his trousers and, balls in hand, he could spend hours revising.

But, remembering in class was the real test. Nothing! He needed to create the right conditions. Hand down trousers, memory restored – success! Teacher noticed.

“Detention for you boy!”

“But sir, I’m only learning by scrote!”
