I was tied down securely to the bench. My assailant was ruthless. I flinched as the hirsute old man strapped the electrodes to my head, but no pain. I watched, curious, as he put a strange kind of hat onto his own head.
“Oh no,” I imagined, “he’s stealing my ideas.” I couldn’t move.
He tapped his hand-held computer and suddenly I felt completely weak, going rapidly numb. I looked at the lifeless youth strapped to the bench. I stroked my beard, took off the hat and put my device on charge. I looked forward to a perfect future.
