It was one of the biggest spiders I'd seen outside a zoo. It set up camp in our bath. It looked miserable.

I had some choices:

1. Ignore the instructions of my wife to remove the spider

2. Ignore the screams of mother-in-law as she sat on the toilet

3. Remove the spider using a cup and paper

In the end I decided to do none of the above. Instead, I flicked it up in the air with a pencil and deftly caught it on my iPad. It was happy again. I had returned it to the Web.
