Skip

Skip - a four-letter word I hate! Funny that a word with such inbuilt joy and childhood merriment might hide a dark side. Avoid, move quickly on... and worst of all, a skip you fill with rubbish. A dirty word in my book.

I’m a collector; I collect. You name it, I collect it. Collectors like me (some unkind people might call us hoarders) are positive people. Everything we collect adds to the richness of our world. Tidiers are the reverse. They reduce, they deconstruct, they strive for emptiness.

To the big bin arriving here tomorrow I say “Skip-off!”
