I’d been happy growing up. Spending my time outside in the fresh air, surrounded by nature’s gifts, I was a healthy infant. The warm sun kissed me and gave me a sense of wellbeing – I swelled with pride. All was well with the world and, maturing fast, I had a good future.
But then I was the victim of a snatch and my life abruptly changed. The raider, clad in grey, showed remarkable agility as he tore me from my branch.
My life would not go the praline route after all; I was buried in the lawn for later.

A very well written drabble, Neville. Kept me guessing right up until the last line. Well done, sir.
