“Asking for it, just asking for it, but when he saw my fist in front of his nose I reckon he realised his number was up!”
“You never?”
“Dead in the water, that’s what!”
Nish, getting some air outside the city centre club, heard the comments coming from two men having a smoke.
She thought no more of it until next day when she heard on local news that a youth in a Chelsea shirt with the name Ballack 13 emblazoned on the back was found face down in the canal. Dead! “Dead in the water!” she thought, “that’s unlucky!”
