I'm loving it, really loving it. Lying naked next to the wood burner with the warmth hugging me with a blanket of air. I’m warm and waiting for my turn.
No-one in the room expects me to move; they’re very happy for me to be there, prostrated by the fire getting myself ready to do my natural duty. No-one finds my nakedness shocking, but I am the shocked one with what happens next. I am picked up and hurled onto the flames.
To think, twelve months ago I was standing tall, but that was before the winds came.

Nice drabble!
Reminds me a bit of ‘The Fir Tree’ by Hans Christian Andersen, only you’re much better at getting to the point, than he was.

Looks like poetry, Neville! I dug deeper into your page and find many interesting things.

Thanks Kirill. I write a bit of this, a bit of that, some tales from my travels, poems (although they nearly always rhyme).. and much longer stories.

I will explore, Neville, thanks. At the same time, honestly, I will learn literary English :)

Don’t worry too much about your literary English at this point. It’s the ideas that matter most. Grammar and stuff like that can come later. 🙂
