The depths of winter. Snow had gone but who knew, it might reappear, I was taken from my warm comfort zone. They dug and dug, roughly forcing my body into the hole they’d prepared with just my head above ground.

I’d never been so cold, and scared of even colder conditions. It was touch and go if I would survive.

Time passed. I started to feel movement down below. I was splitting at the seams! I had to keep it all together.

They lifted me in the beating sun. But I didn't care; I was mother to quintuplets! Never again!
