I heard of a guy they called the Spanish Shakespeare. I saw him one day, and, curious why they called him that, I asked him.
He said nothing (apparently he had an awful stammer) but handed me a number of very slim books. Not being a Spanish speaker, I couldn’t understand the meagre contents, but glimpsed the titles. There was Jamonlet, Hijobeth, El Sueño de una Noche de Verano, Dos Caballeros de Girona and Como te Guste. I was impressed considering he seemed rather backward. But I felt worried about plagiarism. I asked his name.
Stammering, he replied “El Bbard”
