Knight Moves

Is it stealth or alcohol that explains his drunken progress? Sitting tall in the saddle, he moves two ahead, one to the side or one ahead and two to the side and sometimes in reverse. It reminds one of the waltz. Maybe he doesn’t want you to know or predict his moves. Is he a spy? Is he sly? Where’s he headed? For a man of rank, is this behaviour we should expect?
