“I’m done. I can’t take this anymore.” he says before slamming the door. All of the yelling, the cursing, the shouting can never prepare you for the screaming silence that comes just after the door closes for the final time. The tears won’t come, she’s run dry. She stares at the empty doorway. “I love you. You’re the best man I could have ever asked for and more. I could never make it without you. You’re all I’ll ever need.” She sniffs. “Don’t leave me.” she whispers. He suddenly opens the door. “Anything to say to me?” he asks.
Silence.
