The Last Race

She stood there, her head down and feet firmly pressed against the ground. The adrenaline was pumping through her veins. As she stood, the panic took over her body. Her lips started to quiver; her arms and legs tensed up. She was as erect as a statue. Moments later, the gentle breeze in the air created a subtle sway in her hair which calmed her down. She took a deep breath and rubbed her hands together. She let out a placid smile as she looked up towards the building and took her first steps, ready to take her licensing exam.
