Fighting

Terrible fighting broke out in the streets. It started with one man glancing up from the morning paper to meet the tense gaze of another. The tension drifted from stare to stare, and so on until it traveled several blocks. It drew unsuspecting passerbys out from restaurants and cars onto the roads. People pushed into parking lots and driveways with clenched fists.

A ripple of motion seized the great mob. Uncontrolled bodies clashed, smashing each other into sidewalks and walls.

As the sun peaked overhead, only a handful remained.

They were driven away by the stench of cement baked bodies.
