For centuries, they swaddled their masculine babies in pink, preparing their sons to grow into the robust red of manhood. They saved dainty, gentle blue for the fairer sex, adorning their girls in blue bonnets. Then some began to change their minds. The reasons hardly matter. They fought like dueling fairies. Pink. Blue. Pink. Blue. Pink. Blue. Leaving a mess in their wake. It was not an easy battle, but change won, as it often does; they created legions of true blue boys and were left to swaddle their daughters in pink peace. Their only error was calling it tradition.
