Men in white excavated the burned down husk that was once a sanctuary. People gathered and parted nearby, curious but not so much so that they'd risk their lives.
Many were hiding, from what, they were unsure...
More fragments of burning paper rained down from the heavens. Then came the tears.
Then came the tears... in the form of a cleansing, acidic rain.
Biological warfare was the answer, peace a distant prayer.
