Every day at the same time for a week Tommy stood in his backyard peering at a speck in the sky through a pair of binoculars. At first, he thought it was a bird, but guessed it was a funny-looking drone because it didn't have the requisite propellers.

Finally, the drone, smaller than his mom's SUV, landed on the grass and two occupants no taller than toddlers approached and asked to be taken to his leader. He studied the two for a moment then yelled back toward his house, "Mom, a couple of kids want to talk with you."

    Excellent. It’s so easy to visualise. There might be a series in this Michael... continuing with the kids’ perspective. It could be a serious take on the situation or could be played for laughs. As Drew said, what a terrific opener.
