For most of his adult life Mitch did his best to stay one step ahead of his pursuer. He knew he was nothing more than the prey and it was his sworn duty to do what prey did in order to survive as long as possible..

He ducked, bobbed, weaved, bluffed, lied, and ran from what he knew would one day overtake him and bring him down. Call him paranoid, but Mitch knew his adversary lurked behind every shadow and was relentless.

His time was running short. The specter of death was closing in on him, but he ran anyway.

Thanks, Drew. Glad you enjoyed it. Fortunately, it wasn't a nightmare to write, but I was afraid it was too simplistic.

I enjoyed this too, Michael. I found I was running with Mitch and, daft as it may seem, getting quite anxious myself, and not just for him!
