They have been visiting Walter since childhood. He can remember their first visit when he was four. After that, they visited regularly. However, no one ever believed him. "Childhood fantasies," his parents said. "Stubborn teen rebelliousness," the doctors said. "Drug and alcohol-induced hallucinations," his friends said. "Crazy old coot," is what people said now.

Year after year the visitors would come, but no one believed him because he never had proof. They preferred the early morning darkness so Walter never saw them, but tonight he planned to hide and wait for his visitors. Then he would have his proof.

The first paragraph was awesome. I kinda wanted a bit more resolution in the second, unless you're setting this up for a sequel?

@Horrorshow Thanks. Appreciate the encouragement. @Neil Murton Hmmm. Hadn't thought much about a sequel, but I'll give it some thought.
