2017 passed away peacefully overnight. Being predictable it wasn’t a shock. We took the event with resignation - the damage had been done. The pieces of the jigsaw have fallen into place, causing widespread apprehension like a brooding volcano returning to life releasing lava flows in unexpected places and a menacing ash cloud hanging darkly over ordinary people.
Was this the year that the human race lost reason, a relative calm before the storm, but pivotal to its destiny? Let’s hope and pray that 2018 won’t be remembered as a springboard to calamity but one of turning back from the brink

Wow, this is deep Steve, and more than a touch worrying. Love the opening line, but, like you, am concerned about some of the lunacy knocking around these days. Happy 2018 to you and yours anyway.🥂
