We agonised for hours over the guest list for our party. Pruning it to 21 was fiendishly difficult but we eventually succeeded: so here it is, quite a mixed bag:
The Hunts and their son Issac,
young cousin Jacob and girlfriend Mary Fitt.
The Austrians, Frau and Herr Lipp.
Mr and Mrs Martyn and son Aston.
Sir Arthur Bunk and Lady Dee.
The Greens; Gilbert and his brother, the Parson.
Robyn Banks and Nathaniel West our financial advisers.
Dame Mina Twice-Knightly.
Our Bangkok family branch, Patrick Pong and wife Ping.
Lastly we cannot forget Seaman Staines and Master Bates.
