Pundit Nero

Known as "Pun", a high cast Indian chef, with a Roman father, lost concentration whilst fiddling the books and burnt his signature dish.
A normally pink and delicious Châteaubriant resembled a turd that had re-enturd the atmosphere from space. "This is more Stake Joan of Arc!" he fumed.
"Zat, Pun is most demeaning to my country" protested the French sous-chef, inadvertently coining the phrase.
Happily some English tourists ordered steaks 'well done',as they do and, instantly rechristened, the 'Joan D'Arcs' were a great success.
"Well done" said Pun.
Consequently the "stakes' are still offered today, misprint and all.
