Larry’s first time at the televised Sunday sermon. The van had dropped off the group of the vast crowd he was in. The hour long sermon was fire and brimstone. By the end the crowd was speaking in tongues and praising. There were long lines at the exit gates. He waited. At the tithing machine, a kind female voice said, “Please enter your yearly income.”. Larry entered a number. The voice said kindly, “That was an untruth. Please enter your yearly salary.” Larry entered another number. The voice said, “Thank you. Your weekly tithe is $7.69. Please enter this amount.”
