They say the Inuits have 500 for snow
Snow’s not our problem is it, though ?
I dunno but wouldn’t it be good
If we Brits had, say, 50 for mud

Muck and Sludge and Gravel and Slime
Sand and Dirt, Silt and Grime
Guck, Slush, Ooze, Quag
Quicksand, Swamp, Marsh, Bog
Earth, Dust, Clod, Gley
Alluvia, Solute, Humus, Clay
Soil, Gook, Slop, Mire
Daub, Peat, Shale, Quagmire
Loam, Peloid, Adobe, Slob
Slurry, Puddle, Turbidity, Sod
Hardpan, Clump, Cake, Pat
Mud, Dub, Clag, Clart
That’s about all that come to my head
Oh, maybe Cover ? For our final Bed.

Me too! Lots of synonymical inspiration for future murky drabbles; thanks.
