Unconditional love
She knew her life would change everyone had told her. The fear and enormity of what had just happened followed by panic and excitement of what was next! The pain of new life very quickly forgotten and replaced by a feeling of wonder.
Here he was at last, a tiny but very real person, who without knowing, was now the central character in the plot.
And later when everyone had gone, and it was just the two of them, starting on a journey of “unconditional love”.
She is older now and he is grown-up, but the memory never fades.

This is beautiful. My mom always tells me on my birthday about how when I was born and was only a few hours old how I looked at her, eyes wide open, and would study her face and just smile. She said she didn't even see my sister's eyes until days after she was born!
