It was a gloomy November night. Rain poured down on her head, her hair was wet. Slightly shuttering, she pulled up her zipper. A black car driving close beside her, the headlights flashing.
She started walking faster. The sound of a door being slammed made her suddenly stop. The steps behind her came closer. She was breathing rapidly. Call the police. Now! No, stop, you’re being paranoid.
“Hey, wait!”, he called. Frightened, she turned around. Please not. “You’ve lost your wallet”, the elderly man with the white beard said. Smiling he gave it back to her. “Thank you”, she whispered.

Welcome to Drablr, Laura. I think we've all had moments like that where we misread someone's intentions in a tense moment.

Welcome to Drablr from me too Laura. Although it turned out well, right until the end I thought the benign elderly man might have a nasty surprise in the last few words.
