From 11th April 1959, the day they met at the Palais De Dance in Nottingham, Brian and Liz were happy knowing they shared each other’s sense of humour. They were pals who liked and loved each other.

They married in 1962 and their family was completed with their two sons and extended with two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren who are all pals. It is a long-standing friendship that has remained joyous, loving and close.

As they sit contented in their armchairs Liz and Brian look forward to the celebration of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary with the family.

Very nice, Brian. I wonder what it would be like to be married to someone for that long. My parents have been married since 1968, and they'll tell you they never thought about divorce. They thought about murder a few times but never divorce!

I could tell you what it’s like. What it’s really really like. Wonderful.

Many, many congratulations Brian and Liz. That’s quite a milestone (and to think I thought that our 51 years was rather special). Delighted to read how you still feel about each other. (My readers will already know how much I love my wife too; I never stop talking about it!🥴)
