Sally sailed through life. Little hiccups here and there but nothing dramatic that would guarantee her a place on X Factor..

She was lovingly cared for without being spoilt leaving her childhood unblemished. Sally was very popular at school. Everyone wanted to be her friend.

She was fun loving but made sure her homework was thoroughly done and on time leading to top grades in her GCSEs. University was a formality.

Sally found her soulmate and fell in love. The job interview successfully secured a senior position exciting her family.

The next day the company went bankrupt and closed down.

Lucky in love, unlucky in business.

Brian, do you know all these people or are some of them just people you've heard about? I just wondered if all these people in these true stories are part of your life.

Thank you for your support Christopher. I write these stories because my creativity is limited. The answer is ‘all of the above’.
I was reminded of that story because I saw “Sally’s” parents recently. The punch line is true but the rest has been embroidered.
I have developed this style because a writing mentor told me that I am a story teller not a story writer.

You're a very good storyteller, but I don't think anyone should be discouraging you from writing your own stories.

Thank you Neville. It’s taken 3 years to become comfortable with the style. I like some better than others but I post them anyway.

In answer to your question Christopher I’ve done a spot check on the recent ones and was surprised to find that 60% of them have an autobiographal foundation.

Nice. You definitely have a knack for that style of writing.
