Toby Writes A Letter

Josie clambered aboard the bus with her two toddlers, a pushchair and the bags she’d needed when visiting her mother.

Toby was pushed against the window as Josie tried to settle a tired Jenny in her pushchair.

“Mummy. I’ve written my letter to Santa,” he announced. February’s a bit early thought Josie as she handed Jenny her comforter.
“Granny’s posting it for me. How long do you think it will take?”
“It’s a long way. A week, perhaps.”

A contented Toby took out the reindeer from his bag and thought about Christmas, pleased he’d written.
