Mary and Frank are very single minded and have the stamina to go on forever. Not only do they care for themselves and their family but they look after neighbours. Everyday Frank rings appreciative friends and Mary cooks extra dishes when she bakes.
Those living alone began to rely on them. Elsie wondered if they could do her shopping as her daughter was too busy. Jim’s garden was overrun with weeds and his family lived out of town.
Not everyone was happy. When Mrs Boaden told them she didn’t need their charity they carried on helping those who needed them.

Suppose there can be a fine line between helpfulness and intrusion sometimes .
