An Apple One Day

Meeting at the top of the gunnel Barry and his mates planned their assault on the doctor’s orchard and quickly gathered their juicy booty. As they made their way to the air raid shelter they sensed they had been spotted.

When the local bobby caught up with them Barry stood shaking. He’d never been scrumping before. If he laughed he would annoy the policeman. Stifling the laugh made him tearful but if he cried he would be shamed in the playground.

The agony was worse than the punishment as the doctor was very kind to them. Barry didn’t go back.
