The uncertainty of the threat of the proposed reservoir was too much for those nearby villagers looking for more security. The abandonment of Petros had left Peter to stand guard over the rotting buildings as his own became colder and wetter in the face of council negligence. He was determined to preserve its history and gain support.
His faith in its beauty was rewarded when an Arts Fund bought the whole street to develop as a creative centre. Peter was employed to embed the artists in the local history and to guide the increasing number of visitors to the valley.

I like happy endings, especially true ones.

This is was beautifully rendered. I also love happy endings, especially when the ''little'' people, the everyday people win over the council .
