There was this old man, well me, standing by the counter at the chemist’s with his three wheeled walker waiting for his life saving blister packs when his heart was defibrillated by the arrival of the most attractive ankles clad in a pair of high quality shoes.
He was troubled by her provocative presence and took furtive glances at this vision. Did she know? Did she care?
She disappeared with her father’s medication but kept returning in the old man’s mind. Why? Why? Why? Was it because she reminded him of the girl he married sixty years ago? Too right.

This is really lovely, Brian. Love the confession.
